Paul Markowski, MD

Dr. Markowski completed his undergraduate education at Johns Hopkins University where he first discovered an interest in oncology while working in a cancer genetics lab as an undergraduate and for two years after his graduation. Dr. Markowski then decided he wanted to channel his passion for oncology from the lab to caring for patients and attended medical school at UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He then completed his Internal Medicine training at Rutgers University-Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. This was followed by Hematology/Oncology fellowship at Rutgers University-Cancer Institute of New Jersey where he served as Chief Fellow.

Dr. Markowski has published research in a wide variety of hematologic and oncologic areas with a focus in lung, genitourinary, and blood cancers. He has also published research on cancer genetics and immunotherapy, enabling him to have a deep understanding of new targeted and immunotherapies. Most importantly, in addition to providing his patients with the best possible medical treatments, Dr. Markowski focuses on taking care of the patient as a whole by individualizing treatment approaches based on each patient’s wishes and goals.

Dr. Markowski is a New Jersey native and has lived in Union county for several years with his wife and young son.
